Standards:
CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.RL.6.1 Cite textual evidence to support analysis of what the text says explicitly as well as inferences drawn from the text. Objective:
See PowerPoint Whole Group: Review expectations, explain end-of-semester schedule. Independent 1: We are going to be taking the ELA interim assessment on Wednesday. Today we will prepare by taking a practice multiple choice exam. READ ALL STEPS BEFORE YOU BEGIN
YOU SHOULD TREAT THIS LIKE AN ACTUAL TEST! THIS MEANS NO MUSIC AND NO TALKING! Independent 2: We will be working on finishing our Egyptian Museum Project. The project is due at the end of the week. Today will be one of the last days to work on it, so make sure you’re using your time wisely. Follow the steps very carefully. Please do not ask questions unless you have already directions that are written here. 1. Get on the spreadsheet to see what parts of the project you are still missing. If you do not have an “x” underneath one of the checkpoints, go to Summit and start working to complete it. Once you’ve finished a checkpoint, make sure you share it with Mr. Williams either on Summit (by clicking “Request Feedback” at the bottom) or by sharing it with him on google docs. IF YOU DO NOT SHARE IT WITH MR. WILLIAMS YOU WILL NOT GET CREDIT FOR IT. 2. If you are SURE that you have finished and submitted something but you still don’t have an “x” under that category, it is possible that Mr. Williams missed it somehow. Share it with him again and he will fix his mistake. 3. Once you made sure that your paragraphs look exactly how you want them to, you may request for Mr. Williams to print them for you. 4. Once you have your paragraphs printed out, you may begin putting them on your board. If you do not have your poster board in class, you will have to assemble your poster at home. Exit Ticket: Use the spreadsheet to write down any missing checkpoints you need to finish for the Egypt Project. Work on these things at home. REMEMBER: we are presenting on FRIDAY!!! Homework:
